Contract Maintenance:

Buoy and Beacon Refurbishment

Part of the maintenance contract normally includes on-shore refurbishment of each buoy once, over the contract period.

The refurbishment covers a complete overhauls of the buoy body, electrical system and moorings. Test certificates for the lifting and moorings eyes are issued and the buoy is shot-blasted and repainted to complete.

Emergency Call-Out Service:

VTMS will, if required, give an Emergency Call Out  Service, whereby a report of 'lights out' or 'buoy out of position', will be responded to within 24 hours, weather permitting.

Documentation:

Each year following the onboard maintenance and re-furbishment of buoys and beacons a report will be raised to the customer covering all visit details and actions to be considered in the interests of preventative maintenance.

The visit report will be submitted in hard copy and electronic copy.
